Events in Egypt

I know nothing more than what is on twitter, the MSM being mostly useless, except for selling soap. My thoughts:

The people in Egypt deserve a better govt than they have. No question. That they get one, is a good question.

USA policy has always been Strong Man versus Islamist. No one knows if this will turn out to have been correct.

The Suez Canal is being watched by hot money world wide. It closes, crude hits $150, gas $5, faster than you would imagine. Saudi Arabia is THE key country.

The USA markets were looking for a reason to sell off at 1300 SPX. Egypt wasn't 'the reason', just contemporaneous.

Markets will be spastic this week. Robots, and they're trading mostly, HATE uncertainty. Upsets their algo stomach.
